لاَ تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا
“No person shall have a burden laid on him greater than he can bear”
[Surah Baqarah: 233]
I don’t know if there is a term for this thing, but it so quite happens.
A few years since you have graduated, you look back at your life, and just laugh the experience off: ” ’twas a piece of cake.”
Not just with school, but with any struggle in life. Once you have passed it successfully, it seems really easy. And you look back and laugh at the thought of how badly you struggled.
It happens, right?
And the struggle happens too.
But what matters at the time of any struggle is that you hold on to Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala and to the sunnah of our beloved Messenger, salAllaahu alayhi wasallam. What matters is that you do not let the shaytaan trick you in thinking you can never pass it. Because as Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala has promised – He will NEVER burden anyone greater than the strength for it to bear.
Look at how small an ant is. When you watch it carrying things bigger than its size, do you laugh at it? It seems silly for such a small creature to be holding something 10x its size. But it wouldn’t have been able to carry it, if it didn’t have the strength provided by Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala to carry it.
I know, and I am absolutely assured – whatever struggles I have to face in my life, as long as I hold on to Allaah subhanahu wa ta’ala, He will walk me through it, just like an ant. If He has put me into it, He will take me through it, and will help me come out of it, much grown and content, inshaAllaah.
